This section of the Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products site is devoted to answering all your frequently asked questions about the products we offer. Please use the “Ask Sales a Question” link below to send an email if you do not find an answer to one of your questions in this section. The Users Guide in this website also provides additional details on some of the questions and answers.




1.  How can I submit my request for quote (RFQ)?  The easiest and fastest method is to send in your request to sales or by sending  a FAX to our sales office at 781-961-2845. You may also direct your price and delivery questions to us via phone at 781-961-9600. Additional details may be found in our Users Guide on the website.

2.  How long does it take to receive my quotation?  Generally speaking, a quotation is usually returned to you same day for standard products and in 1 to 2 business days for custom parts.  See our “Users Guide” for information guidelines to ensure that your RFQ is processed in a timely manner without any unnecessary delays.

3.  How can I place an order? You are encouraged to e-mail or FAX us your order. E-mails may be forwarded to sales@eccosorb.com or sent directly to a contact in our sales department if you already have one.  Faxes may be sent to 781-961-2845. Additional details may be found in our Users Guide on the website.

4.  Do you have an order minimum?  We have a $350 order minimum and a $120 line item minimum.

5.  What can I do if I can’t meet your order minimum? You are encouraged to check out our e-commerce web page to see if the product(s) you need are available on-line. With your major credit card, you can make a purchase on-line and our order minimums are waived. You also get next day ship service for on-line orders.  For those products not offered on e-commerce we suggest contacting our only authorized distributor Pro-Pac.

6.  What are your standard payment terms?  Net 30 days, Cash in Advance (CIA) or wire transfer. You can also use a major credit card (VISA, MC, AMEX) to make your purchase.

7.  How can I get approved for credit? Please send us your Bank and (4) Trade References as well as a copy of your Tax Exemption Certificate.  We will also need your accounts payable contact and their phone number. Setting up the account may take several days or even a few weeks depending on how fast your references respond. Forward all approval requests to a contact in our sales department if you already have one or via e-mail to sales or FAX to 781-961-2845.

8.  Why are my credit terms Cash In Advance (CIA)? For new customers outside the USA and Canada, payment terms are initially Cash in Advance (CIA) or major credit card. Once favorable payment history is established, standard Net 30 payment terms may be set up.

9.  Can I purchase materials COD?  We no longer offer COD as an acceptable method of payment.  In addition to standard Net 30 terms, you can make purchases using a major credit card, check by mail, or wire transfer.

10.  Does Emerson & Cuming Microwave offer educational discounts?    Sorry, we do not offer educational discounts.


11.  Is the Billing address and Remit to address the same for E&CMP?  Yes.   All invoicing for customers in the Americas is done from our Randolph, MA, USA location. Payments should be returned to the same address. See Users Guide on the web site for additional details.

12.  What are your product ship lead times?  Many of the more common standard products ship in 2 to 3 business days after receipt of order (ARO). However, e-commerce orders usually ship in 1 business day. For custom cut parts, the typical ship lead time is approximately 3 weeks ARO.

13.  Does E&CMP inventory custom parts?  No, generally speaking.  However, there are instances where we may have overages in inventory.

14.  At what point after receipt of my order does the ship lead-time begin?  Lead-time actually begins the day after your order is received. The estimated ship date is determined from that date by adding the standard lead time in business days for the product(s) in your order. As such, when ordering during holiday periods, please be sure to take this into account.

15.  When placing an order, how can I set a reliable dock date for receipt of the goods?  It is important to know the lead times and estimated ship date for any products you plan to purchase. The lead times are usually provided to you at the time of quotation. The estimated ship date is based on this information as outlined in question 14 of the FAQ page. The final step is to specify a level of transportation service, i.e., overnight, second day, etc., on your purchase order that will allow the shipment to reach your dock on the desired date.

16.  Will I receive an order acknowledgement once my order is received?  Yes.  Order acknowledgements will usually be sent out to you within 24 hours after the order has been received and entered.  If you have not received an acknowledgement from us during this time we suggest that you resend your purchase order to 781-961-2845 or email to sales@eccosorb.com

17.  Can a purchase order be drop shipped to another company?  Yes.  However, this will incur a $100 drop ship fee, which should be added to your order as a separate line item.

18.  How can I get samples for an engineering evaluation? The quickest method is to contact our local sales representative in your area and ask him to provide you a Problem Solver Kit. Click here to find our local sales representative in your area.

20.  What if I need a larger sample size for my evaluation or it is not available in the Problem Solver Kit? You can request no charge samples on our E-commerce website. If you need additional material, you may also purchase samples on the same web page.
