ECCOSORB FHY is a thin, flat, multi-layered hybrid absorber which has been designed for use in EMC test chambers. It consists of a thin lightweight matching layer and a flat resistive top part. It is meant to be used on top of ferrites and provides adequate performance for use in EMC test chambers in the frequency range from below 30 MHz up to 2 GHz. For suitable ferrite part refer to Technical Bulletin EB-150.  If a broadband performance from below 30MHz to over 30GHz is required the best possible absorber choices are Eccosorb VHY-NRL (see Technical bulletin EB-140) or Eccosorb HX-NRL (see Technical bulletin EB-125) depending on the available space.

Application:

Typically ECCOSORB FHY is used in EMC test chambers which have an extended frequency range up to 2 GHz. The optimum lay-out depends on the precise chamber dimensions and test configuration.
