Eccosorb VHP-FL is the floor version of Eccosorb VHP, designed with a flat front surface which can be walked upon to provide access to quiet zones within the anechoic chamber.  It consists of pieces of Eccosorb VHP having wedges of rigid foam filling the spaces between pyramids.  The block is covered with a highly fire retardant polyvinyl-chloride skin.

Application:

Eccosorb VHP-FL is specifically designed for surfaces providing access within anechoic chambers such as floors.  It is a high quality absorber used in anechoic chambers or wherever a high degree of microwave absorption is necessary. When operating at the lower end of its frequency performance i.e. when the thickness is less than half the wavelength, the absorber should be backed with a metal surface. Emerson & Cuming Microwave Products NV can provide this option on request. For applications in which the absorber is thick compared to the wavelength metal backing is not required.
